There's a meaning behind this piece,although if you see it as merely a jumble of jagged lines,that works as well. Please comment,describe what you see.
If taken literally,a splinter causes great pain despite it's size or the wound it creates.Aside from that,it can raise attention.Think of how else that effect could be utilized. Then realize that there's only a small amount of time before it is removed.Think of that on various scales,what it could signify.
Oneness.Another way to view a splinter is as each part combined that contributes to something larger;and while conscious of that,each is important for the role they play.Impact has two meanings,in this case,though i hope you notice that on your own.
And finally,what impact have The Splinters had on your life?

I like the symbolism of the splinters! It's true that such little things can have a great impact on life! Very nice idea, and a great picture!
I really like this representation! It echos a lot in my life at the moment and I think anyone could associate with this image at some point in their life!
I think its a really sharp and dramatic image which cannot fail to capture some form of dark and pointed imagination! My words are not comming out quite like I would like them, but in short I think its a wonderful image which not only looks great but resonates a lot of pain ... again words aren't saying what my brain thinks ...
